Caisa Steeldrum (Code: )

The CAISA is a convex steeldrum, designed to be played with hands or short mallets. The upper half is a round dome of special steel with a diameter of 60 cm, from which a metal plate is suspended. Three openings in the bottom permit mounting on a snare drum stand.
The caisa is made by hand by shaping the metal dome with a hammer. To bring out the best in each instrument, the producer uses special techniques, such as perforating the border around the sound-spaces.
The caisa is available in flamed blue/brown metal coated with clear lacquer or with a special robust, waterresistant black lacquer.
Chrome plating on request. Each caisa is a unique instrument with its very own visual and acoustic characteristics.
